Samantha Dearborn, soprano Chad Baker, piano Senior Undergraduate Voice Recital March 23, 2010 Waldesgespräch (Conversation in the Woods) is the third song in Robert Schumann’s Eichendorff Liederkreis cycle. This song is an interpretation of the myth of the Lorelei, a Rhein Maiden who, with her singing, lures sailors to their death at the most treacherous and narrow passage of the Rhein River.
